Yesterday, I swapped the butcher’s block for a day of pure horsepower and history at a classic vehicle show here in Switzerland. The sun was out, the air was filled with the scent of petrol and polish, and every corner revealed something special — from gleaming vintage motorcycles to immaculately restored Buicks, Austin-Healeys, and Jaguars.

It wasn’t just about the machines. It was the conversations with fellow enthusiasts, swapping stories about the quirks of old engines, the painstaking restorations, and the shared love of keeping these icons alive. Inside one of the big sheds, the atmosphere was electric — rows of convertibles rolling in while people enjoyed food, drink, and the sound of revving classics echoing off the walls.

Whether it’s a perfectly tuned carburettor or a skillfully sharpened butcher’s knife, there’s something timeless about craftsmanship done well. Yesterday was a reminder that passion,
